Once self-healing power grid is initialized, the Instrumentation Team will conduct testing by inducing power outages on a local scale like the Walgreens in Cuebas, Puerto Rico. The Power Technology Team will see the algorithm’s behavior in its efforts to mitigate outages and its efforts in solving outages. After this controlled experiment, we will integrate the power grid into homes and buildings. We will also distribute information through local news about how the system works and how this would affect the local economy. We will first integrate the self-healing power grid into Cuebas, Puerto Rico after Hurricane Irma and Maria. In the future, we plan to add self-healing power grids to other cities like Ponce, Puerto Rico that are adversely affected by natural disasters, which in doing so will help thousands of families.
